Why do I have to pay for my bags?

Our fares are unbundled so you pay only for what you need, not what you don’t. We charge for bags because we don’t include them in our fares like other airlines do. This means you don’t need to pay for things you don’t want. We offer convenient bundles to help you save even more by bundling popular products to enhance your experience with us. Why do I need to size my bag at the airport?

We size all bags, including carry-ons, at the airport check-in desk. This ensures smooth operations at the boarding gate so we can board as efficiently as possible! Our baggage sizes comply with Transport Canada regulations and we adhere to them to ensure space for everyone’s bags on board.

Why don’t your seats recline?

Little known secret – our seats are pre-reclined for your comfort! We’re all about finding creative and innovative ways to reduce weight on our aircraft, which in turn, reduces our fuel costs. We do that by removing the reclining mechanisms on our seats. That’s more savings for you!

Do you offer food and drinks on board?

Pack your appetite! We are proud to offer a selection of locally sourced food and beverage options for purchase onboard. Our menu has been curated to reflect our commitment to local, sustainability and quality. As part of our unbundled model, we don’t offer complimentary drinks or snacks so you can choose to add a drink or a snack to your experience. If you’re not hungry, why should your ticket include the cost of food? All items are available for purchase and we accept all major credit cards and Visa Debit cards (physical cards only).

Can I travel with my pet on board?

Of course! Dogs and cats may travel with passengers as long as they are secured in a soft-sided, airline-approved, leak-proof, and ventilated pet carrier for travel in the cabin. There is a maximum of 6 animals allowed on a flight, except for Mexico, Jamaica and Dominican Republic flights, and each passenger is permitted 1 pet per carrier/container. The pet fee must be purchased at least 48 hours prior to departure. We are unfortunately unable to accommodate pets in cargo.

The pet carrier/container must fit within these dimensions: 41cm x 23cm x 25cm or 16" x 9" x 10" and the maximum weight is 23 lbs, carrier included. A pet in carrier will be counted as one standard item toward your carry-on baggage allowance. Pets must remain in the kennel, under the seat in front of you, for the duration of your flight. Pets cannot travel with unaccompanied minors, passengers seated in exit or bulkhead rows, or with passengers that require the use of a medical device that must be stowed under the seat. I didn’t receive a mobile boarding pass after checking-in, why?

This happens if you haven’t added bags or a bundle to your reservation since we need to verify your baggage complies with our baggage policy. You’ll need to go to the check-in counter at the airport to size your bag and pick up your boarding pass. You still must check-in online to avoid the airport check-in fee.

Why do you charge an airport check-in fee and call centre fee?

As part of our unbundled model, we charge a $25 airport check-in fee for a service that can be completed by a customer online or on our mobile app. If you need additional help and would like to chat with an agent, you can add this service by paying this fee. Similarly, our call centre fee applies for services a customer can complete on Manage My Booking or through our chatbot.
