All Flair passengers are required to provide government issued identification when travelling, even when travelling domestically within Canada.

Passenger identification must **EXACTLY** match your ticket and boarding pass for name and birth date.

Per the Secure Air Travel Regulations, travellers are required to present one valid photo identification by a Canadian government authority, or two pieces of valid identification issued by a Canadian government authority, containing full name and date of birth and cannot be expired. There is no longer a requirement to show a gender indicator.

These pieces of photo identification may also be used:
• a passport issued by the country of which the passenger is a citizen or a national
• a NEXUS card
• a permanent resident card issued by the United States
• an enhanced driver’s license issued in the United States
• any document referred to in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

Valid identification must be issued by a recognized federal, provincial, or municipal government institution that has the required information from the following list of documents.

If you don't have a valid government issued photo ID such a Drivers license, passport, recent citizenship card, permanent resident card (Photo), or a provincial health card (photo), you will need two of the following IDs:

• Provincial health card
• Provincial identity card
• Provincial or territorial government identification cards (GICs)
• Birth certificate
• Record of Landing Form/Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292)

• Immigration documents issued to foreign nationals (e.g. Work Permit, Study Permit, Visitor Record, Temporary Resident Permit, Refugee Approved Status)

• Canadian military identification

• Federal police identification
• Federal, provincial or municipal government employee identification cards
• Old Age Security (OAS) identification card

• Certificate of Indian Status (Status Card) issued by Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC)
• Canada Border Services Agency NEXUS card

• Firearms license

All children and minors are recommended to bring proof of age in the form of a passport, birth certificate, or non-government photo ID (e.g. student card). For more information when travelling with a child, see Families & Children.

These items are NOT accepted as identification for flights:
• fishing, hunting, or boating licenses
• most temporary driver's licenses
• temporary, paper-based renewal documents for photo identification are not acceptable for transportation purposes


Restricted Area Identification Cards (RAIC) are acceptable.
